Understanding the reason behind 26th january as Republic Day

This year India celebrated is 68th Republic Day, which was attended by a large number of national and international government as well as non-government officials. On this day one can see live telecast of Republic Day parade that is held on Rajpath in New Delhi, capital of our country. The parade constitutes students from almost all states of India, showcasing their culture and rich heritage that completes our country.

Although 26th January is celebrated with great pomp and show as our country’s Republic Day, however, do we all know the reason behind choosing this specific date! Let us understand a few reasons behind actually choosing 26th January as our Republic Day:
  1. 26th January 1950 is the day when the Constitution of India came into effect, replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India.
  2. Although the constitution was adopted by the Indian Constituent Assembly on 26th November 1949 however it came into effect on 26th January 1950. This completed the transition of our country into an independent republic country.
  3. The main reason behind choosing 26th January is because it was on this day in the year 1930 when the Declaration of Indian Independence (Purna Swaraj) was decreed by the Indian National Congress as opposed to the Dominion status adopted by the British regime.
  4. An interesting fact to be remembered on Republic Day is that the flag is already present up and is simply unfurled on this day, marking the fact that it is already hoisted on Independence Day i.e. 15th August.
Celebrations are held across educational institutions as well as prominent societies with full enthusiasm and fervour. Saffron, White and Green Flower n Plants decorations are prominently displayed in every flower shop as well as many other places to mark the importance of this day. We can also decorate our homes with tricolour flowers that can be bought online in different bouquets. People are seen decorating shops and hypermarkets with tricolour balloons decorations as well flowers on this day. Unity in Diversity represents the essence of our country.

5 Gifts Never Give to Women

Women enjoy being showered with gifts every now and then. Some of the best gifts are those that reflect your inner feelings and show how much a particular person means to you. Although you may be tempted to buy gifts sky-rocket in price, however simple gestures of giving a bouquet of exotic flowers will also speak volumes. Sending flowers online has never been easier than today. Enjoy a plethora of flowers to choose from that will define your thoughts and feelings totally.

Besides this, to give you a little insight we have compiled a list of certain do’s and don’ts of gifting that will help you make the right choice:

1. Fake Jewellery: One of the most beautiful gifts you can gift a woman is jewellery but that too real jewellery like gold or silver or diamond. However, the biggest put off for any woman is artificial jewellery being given as a gift.

2. Cooking Apparatus: Do not buy this unless asked for. It would just show her that you do not really know her well or are not acquainted with buying the right gifts.

3. Cheap Perfume: A fragrance is not a fragrance unless it is from a reputed brand like Gucci, Nina Ricci, Cartier, etc. Do not buy cheap imitation perfume or local perfumes to impress her.

4. Gifts meant for you: You want to impress you lady love, but with a gift of her choice. Buying a gift for yourself, in order to impress her to do the same thing that you like, is not same as buying a gift of her choice

5. Flowers: Flowers are the best way to express your love for your woman, however choosing the right kind of flower is also essential. If the woman in your life likes roses, it will be quite foolish to purchase a bouquet of chrysanthemums.

Flowers are probably the best way to speak the language of love and online flower delivery has become very simple. With multiple options of vendors available, send flowers online to your loved one at the best possible cost.
